If I had been sent home after being told I had less than an hour to pack my things, I would try an only pack what I deem essential. There is the obvious of packing clothes for extra warmth and food to eat, but I would want to take something to remember my loved ones. This could be a photo, a small item someone gave me, T-shirt, anything, just something to remember the people I care for when I'm just about to be sent to a place where I could possibly be separated from them or not see them for awhile. Before I would leave I would try and contact as many people that I love and care for before I was sent away .
I know during this process I would be in a state of shock and be crying and upset but also I would be wondering hoe someone could just send me away from a place I have known all my life, and a place where everyone I care for is.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t get enough physical movement as I should, and at first I was going to do walking, since one, I walk a lot, and two live in a area of town where it’s very easy for me to walk to many places, such as downtown.
But I decided to do hiking since it’s something I do often enough with family or friends, it’s something I like and I enjoy being outside. Since I was young we have gone hiking around the Bay Area, such as places like Mt Tam, but there has been times where I have been backpacking up east in California by Cache Creek. Hiking is not only a great workout for me personally, but also when I’m hiking my head is clearer, and I forget my stresses. True when hiking depending on where I am, I can still hear the sound of cars, but it’s still nice and refreshing be surrounded by nature, and away from the city. I also feel a sense of accomplishment after finishing my hike since most of the time, the result is a breathtaking view of a river or mountain, etc. It really all depends on where your hiking. This is my first post for our new BioFitness semester, hiking is definitely something I see myself doing in the future, in fact I’m going hiking next weekend. Thank you for reading. Recently I was fortunate enough to be able and visit the di Rosa as field trip for our Creative Studies class. To give you more back round on the the di Rosa, its a museum that features art from the 1950's onward, mostly done by Northern California artists. When I first walked in, nothing at first caught my attention, no doubt the art-pieces were good, but it wasn't until the next room where the art started to interest me. Another thing about di Rosa- they don't have any labels saying who the artist is. This is something I really liked, because you judged or responded to the art on the artwork itself and didn't base your judgment on if someone famous did the piece
So as you can see with this art piece there's not a label. Going back to original train of thought from the first paragraph, I chose to show this art piece because I was drawn mostly to the photography in the museum, especially this piece taken at a 1980's punk show. I just really love the whole photo and how you can feel the grittyness of it, and because at the time it was taken it makes you feel like you are there experiencing it, or that you can really feel the energy from the piece. Most museums although still interesting seem to display only a limited amount and style of art. So I appreciate that the di Rosa featured all types of art, from artist's I may never have seen pieces from, who's work makes me think in different ways, instead of usually seeing just the same type of art over and over again. I look forward to going back ! |
AuthorHey guys! I don't know how many of you are reading this since this isn't a tinder bio, but I'm Isabel and the main purpose of this blog is for school. Its a portfolio I'm going to use to document my four years of high school-maybe even after! Archives
